New Member in need of Assistance (Kingston, ON)

A new member has reached out to the chapter for assistance in restoring a cedar-canvas hull. Colin Burt is located near Odessa, Ontario in the Kingston Area.

The 16 footer in question was purchased in the '60s from the Huntsville area and has been stored in his parents barn for many years. Feedback from the WCHA members on the discussion forums helped I.D. the build as an earlier era Langford back when the company was actually building their boats in the village of Baysville before the change of ownership and move to Dwight, ON. 

Posted photos reveal some deck and stem damage which will need repair. 

At this stage, the canoe has been moved to the protected interior of a greenhouse and cleaned up.

This will be Colin's first attempt at this sort of repair work and he is seeking any guidance on the project. Having someone local if a challenge gets beyond internet advice would be most useful. Any surplus wood stock, leftovers from past projects or any extra tools willing to be lent out would be most appreciated.
