First-ever Canadian Style Paddling (CSP) Rendezvous Sept 21-22

First-ever Canadian Style Paddling (CSP) Rendezvous

This event is for
you if you are an ORCKA Level 4 paddler with CSP1a or b certification; Paddle Canada Intro Canadian Style Paddler; or an Intermediate American Freestyle Flatwater Paddler; or equivalent.*  [*e.g., Can you pivot your canoe in place? Sideways displace your canoe at any angle and hold that angle?]

If you are not quite there yet, come along to see what it’s all about, and see two Voyageur canoes do a CSP dance!

The Rendezvous: Why is it a big deal?

The American freestyle paddlers have the Wisconsin, Western-Pennsylvania, Adirondacks, and Mid-west Symposia. German paddlers have Kringelfieber. Freestyle paddlers travel nationally and internationally for these events.

But what get-togethers do Canadian Style Paddlers have? Up until this year, none! This year, the three editors (former, past, and current) of ORCKA’s CanewsLetter will change that at autumn equinox! 😊 We are planning a “CSP Rendezvous” in September as an annual event to build the sport by sharing, playing, and learning.

The Rendezvous is an important way to grow Canadian Style Paddling, by bringing new and experienced CSPaddlers together. (Please see the 2 attachments for definition and criteria.)
