Chapter Canoe Update

Here is an update on the Northern Lake's Chapter Canoe Project. Our donated 14 foot Huron was stored in a protected garage over the winter. Over two session in March and April, various members met in Trenton, ON to begin the process of cleaning out the interior. Many hands scraping and sanding in unison made the job go quickly.

Apart from cleaning out the interior, many tacks needed to be re-clinched with new fresh tacks added to the hull in critical areas to strengthen the planking

Two more members have begun the process of varnishing the hull and here is the image of the first coat applied. Looks fantastic and vibrant
